From a career in Public Relations, Karin moved into the realm of event organizing. Her strong project management skills and a flair for attention to detail quickly made her a strong player in the conference industry. In 1994, she was the CSIR Conference Centre, Customer Relations and Sales Manager. That year, she decided to move down to Cape Town and has been working ever since as a professional conference co-ordinator. She has organised several local as well as international conferences and exhibitions.
In 2006, she became involved with “event greening” and the importance of sustainability within the events sector. She has gained valuable experience in this area and has participated in the eco-auditing and event greening of major events such as Meetings Africa, the SAACI National Conference and the Gauteng Tourism Summit.
Karin has extensive skills in project management and works well under pressure with tight deadlines. Her overall knowledge of the planning, management and implementation process of local and international conferences and exhibitions will be an asset to the Scatterlings team.
